Meet Becca

The final member of the Zero Calorie Advent Calendar team is Becca.

Becca, a 39 year old Londoner started her blog www.fromsnickerstomarathon.com as a way to log her progress as she trained for the London Marathon in 2012. Since completing the marathon her blog has continued to chart her fitness journey and her mission to be fit before turning 40.

In 2011 when Becca started running she was a large size 16, probably pushing in to an 18 if she was honest. In 2013 Beccastarted working with personal trainer Julia Buckley and through Julia’s Fat Burn Revolution Programme discovered a talent for lifting heavy weights. The weight training combined with high intensity interval training and adopting a clean approach to eating has helped Becca transform her body and dramatically improved her running.

Fast approaching her 40th birthday Becca has set a PB at every distance she’s raced over this year and is now in the best shape of her life. She has also discovered a love of muddy obstacle racing, something she once never thought possible, and completed Tough Mudder – without a doubt the biggest physical and mental challenge she’s taken on so far.

Becca’s approach to health and fitness is all about balance. Train hard, eat well but also enjoy yourself. A little bit of what you fancy here and there isn’t going to hurt you. She’s delighted to be working with Christine and Mollie on the Zero Calorie Advent Calendar for the second year running. Becca hopes that the calendar will help people find balance throughout the festive season, as well as some fantastic offers in the run up to the New Year.
